'The Cosmic Prophecy'
![]()
it is written: And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. These verses of scripture reveal that the stars were created in addition to dividing day from night or to give light uponnthe earth; but also for: " signs, seasons, days and years. The word signs in Hebrew mean: 'to come'. Signs, therefore, of something or someone to come. Those who understand them are enlighten by them. Those who do not are 'dismayed'.
They are for Signs
The stars are all numbered and named. There are twelve signs of the Zodiac, called the "stars". Elevan of these stars bowed down to Joseph's, the twelveth. The word "Zodiac", means the degrees or steps, which mark the stages of the sun's path through the heavens, corresponding with the twelve months, and by extention; the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ.
The stars were all named by God. Most of these names have been lost; but over 100 are preserved through the arabic and Hebrew, and are used by astronomers to day, though their meaning is unknown to them. Many of them are uses in scripture as being well known, though the translations are somewhat speculative: e.g. Job 9:9 (Arcturus: the bear; or Orion). Job 38: 31, 32, mazzaroth (margin, and R.V., the twelve signs; margin, the signs of the zodiac). Compare II Kings 23:5 (Archturus with her sons, R.V. the Bear with her train. Compare with Isa 13:10 and Amos 5:8.
These names and twelve "signs " go back to the foundation of the world. Josephus, assures us that this astronomy was invented by Adam, Seth, and Enoch. We see evidence of it as early as Genesis 11:4, where we read ofd the Tower of Babel having "it's top with the heavens".; or as "reaching into the heavens". The picture here is of an ancient obsevatory with the signs of the Zodiac on the top of it. The first Astronomic telescope that reached into the heavens, attempting to interpret the meaning of the signs of the Zodiac. The signs of the Zodiac was placed atop the Tower of Babel and carnal man was engaged in decipering the cosmic code. The ancient Temples of Denderah, and Esneh in Egypt had these signs enscribed in them. The Babylonian "Creation Tablets" refer to them, though their primitive meaning had been either corrupted or lost. It is the same with the Greek mythology, which is a corruption of primitive truth which had been lost and perverted.
We have to remember that our written scriptures began with Moses, ca 1490 B.C; and thus, for more than 2,500 years, the revelation of the hope God gave in Genesis 3:15: "I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel", was preserved in the naming of the stars and their grouping in signs and constellations. The Signs and Constellations were first designed and named; then, the pictures were drawn around them. Thus the truth was enshrined and written in the heavens. As written scriptures came about, the meaning of the original meaning of the stars faded.
Psalms 19 contains a vivid reference to these Books of revelations: the heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handywork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night shows knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. (Psa 19:1-6). Psalms 19 perserves in its structure, the teaching of the twelve signs:
A. 1-4. The Heavens
B. 4-6 "In them the sun"
A. 7-10. The Scriptures
B. 11-14 " In them, thy servant
In this structure every line emphasises the elaboration of the design: for while, in the first half , all the terms are literary, the latter half they are all astromomical , making the Psam into one harmonious whole. The first half of the Psalm refers not to the wonders of creation, but to the eloquence of its teaching and revelation: "They declare"; tell; or narrate (Gen. 24: 66; Ps. 71:15; they without words "utter speech" ;They "show forth", exhibit (Gen 3:11, Ps. 97:6; 111:6). They prophesy "day by day", "night by night". What do they prophesy? What knowledge do they show forth? What glory do they tell of?
The answer is Genesis 3:15. The one great central truth of all prophecy- the coming of the One, Who, though He should suffer, should in the end crush the head of the old serpent, the devil.
We understand the Stars of the Zodiac , we must open in sucession Book 1, 2 and 3. We determine the the opening book through the "precession of the Equinoxes" the sun gradually shifts its position a little each year, till in about every 2000 years it begans the year in a diferent sign. The Temples and the Sphinx in Eqypts, were the Israelites slaved for 400 years, kept a record of the movement of the the Signs and Constellations in the heavens and erected monuments to indicate the time so that future generations would know the meaning. The number of the Signs is twelve, the number of governmental perfection or "rule", compare Genesais 1:17-18
And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
Gen 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. They are divided into three books of four chapters (or signs) each being the product of Divine truth working in the heavens and in the earth. There are three Books. Each Book has four signs ; and they are arranged in structure, in exactly the same way.
